An Extraordinary Evening with the Legendary Maya Angelou:

Poet, playwright, producer, directory, actor, best-selling author, social activist, educator and three-time Grammy recipient, Dr. Maya Angelou comes to the Pepsi Center for one night only, Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 8 PM.

For this special evening, the Pepsi Center will be arranged in the intimate theatrical configuration of 5000 seats.

An additional $50.00 per ticket includes the VIP dessert reception with Dr. Angelou. The Denver Post is the sponsor for the evening; the VIP ticket fee benefits the Post/News Charities.

Dr. Maya Angelou is a remarkable Renaissance woman who is hailed as one of the great voices of contemporary literature. Angelou has contributed countless articles to a world of publications; among her best-selling books of poetry and prose are I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings and Just Give Me a Cool Drink of Water 'Fore I Die.

This special evening features the Gypsies Collection, offering rare and unique art, jewelry and gift items for sale. The Collection includes many one-of-a-kind items made by South African tribal women. Doors to the Pepsi Center open at 6:30 PM. The Blue Sky Grill will open at 5:30 PM for dinner.
